Anthocharis euphenoides (Female)


Familia Pieridae
Vuela en abundancia en distintas provincias españolas.
Generaciones: abril, mayo y junio
Hábitat: Vive en zonas soleadas de vegetacion baja, posandose sobre cruciferas
Altitud: Hasta 1.800 metros
Observaciones:
Las larvas se alimentan fundamentalmente de especies del Genero Biscutella


This lovely little butterfly used to be known as the Moroccan orange tip, Anthocharis euphenoides, subspecies euphenoides. However, it is now widely accepted that it is a separate species from this insect, which flies in Morocco, logically enough. It is found over much of Spain, southern France and parts of Italy and Switzerland, in a single brood that varies enormously in time of emergence
