La araña del saco puede ser encontrada caminando alrededor del follaje; debajo de camadas de hojas, piedras y tablas; en los edificios debajo de los antepechos y en las mesillas de las ventanas y los entablados de los costados de los edificios; y en las esquinas de las paredes y los techos dentro de las casas. Se encuentra más a menudo en estructuras hechas por los humanos y ovipositan casi exclusivamente dentro de las casas. Las arañitas jóvenes regularmente permanecen dentro del refugio de seda por un corto periodo de tiempo eventualmente se aventuran a salir en las noches en busca de alimento. Las jóvenes frecuentemente regresan al amanecer para esconderse en el refugio. Pican fácilmente a pesar de su tamaño pequeño y se han visto arrastrarse sobre la superficie de la piel humana y picarlos sin haber ninguna provocación. A pesar de que el mayor número de estas picadas son dolorosas al principio, normalmente no resultan en ninguna condición médica seria. La sensación de quemazón asociada a la picada durará por una hora o más y la erupción y la ampolla aparecerán durante las siguientes diez horas. Algunos pacientes pueden exhibir reacciones sistemáticas con fiebre, indisposición o malestar calambres musculares y nauseas. Estos síntomas son similares a los de la viuda negra pero no son tan severos.

The Long Legged Sac Spider can be found walking around the foliage; under litters of sheets, stones and stage; in the buildings under the parapets and in the sills of the windows and the boardings of the sides of the buildings; and in the corners of the walls and the roofs inside the houses. It is more often in structures done by the human beings and ovipositan almost exclusively inside the houses. The young spiders regularly remain inside the refuge of silk. For shorts periods of time takes the risk to go out in the nights in search of food. Young ones frequently return at the dawn to hide in the refuge. They sting easily in spite of his small size and it has been seen crawling on the surface of the human skin and sting them without provocation. Although the biggest number of these stings are painful at first, normally they do not result in any medical serious condition. The sensation of intense heat associated with the sting will last for an hour or more and the eruption and the blister will appear during the following ten hours. Some patients can exhibit systematical reactions with fever, unpreparedness or discomfort muscular cramps and morning sickness. These symptoms are similar to those of the black widow but they are not so severe.
